aka Margie

After high school I attended The University of Virginia and graduated with a BS in Nursing in 1967. My husband, Jack (who I met there) and I were married in Nov. 1967 and lived in Wilm where I did public health nursing until we moved to PA in 1968. I continued my public health nursing career until our daughter Amy was born in Dec 1969. I became a stay at home mom.

Our next move was to Ridgewood, NJ in 1970 and then to Connecticut in 1972 where our son Mark was born in 1973.

Nineteen seventy six found us on our way to the Chicago area where we lived for the next three years before moving to Palos Verdes CA. I decided it was time to work part time and attended UCLA and Cal State LA to obtain my Health Services Credential in order to be a school nurse. After only a year part time I consented to working full time and spent the next 21 years in that field assuming the position of District Resource Nurse.

In 1997 we moved to Reno, NV and spent three years there before moving to Denver in Jan 2001. This move brought us "home" to where Jack was born and where our two children had moved for graduate school and work.

I was able to work part time with the school district doing their vision and hearing screening for five years before "retiring" again to care for my mom who had come to live with us. (She passed away in 2007) The best part has been being at the birth of our 5 grandchildren and enjoying all their sports and other activities. The three boys and two girls currently range in age from 14 to 4 and are the greatest joy of our hearts! Our most favorite times are spent with them and their parents.

We love living in CO and enjoy spending time at our cabin in the Rockies with our family. Other favorite activities include hiking, yoga, reading, quilting, golf, church choir, traveling in our "vintage" motor home and other traveling as well. I am a six year cancer survivor and thankful for every day and the many blessing we have received.

I am looking forward to hearing about all the other adventures of the class of 1963. I have loved looking at the web site Butch has done for us and am appreciative of his efforts. Hoping to see lots of you in September!
