After graduating I worked at DuPont as a research technician until taking early retirement in 1992. I loved working there and made a
lot of lasting friendships. Two of those friends started businesses and hired me to work with them allowing me to travel to the
southern states.
I've had a second career as a bookkeeper/tax preparer for the past 20 years. I started at H & R Block where I was supervisor 3 of
the 5 years I was there. I have worked at a CPA firm for the past 12 years - Whisman, Giordano & Associates. The Whisman is Jim
Whisman who also graduated from William Penn. I am now semi retired only working tax season.
Besides traveling I have never moved from Delaware and have lived in Wilmington for the past 35 years. My husband (Robert) and I
have a beach house in Fenwick Island where we spend most of the summer.
Our daughter Stephanie, who is 31, graduated from the University of the Arts in Philly in 2007 and promptly moved to Seattle.
She is a jewelry designer and teaches at Seattle Community College. She also has a business, "With these Rings" where she works with
couples in her studio to make their own wedding rings. She eloped in June of 2012 and we celebrated with a west coast and an east
coast reception.
Robert and I just celebrated our 33rd anniversary on September 5. We enjoy traveling, especially to Seattle. I've had a very good
life and I'm glad to be able to celebrate my 50th class reunion.
