Sorry to miss the reunion. Hope everyone has a great time. Linda Reader (Dickinson '64) and I celebrated our 45th wedding
anniversary by spending a week in the Loire Valley at a chateau with fourteen friends and a chef. Our daughter and her family
now live only six miles from us. We get together every week and enjoy helping with two fantastic grandchildren.
After a BEE at U of D and an MEE at RPI, we started in Laurel, MD (USAF Captain at NSA) and then moved on to North Wales, PA,
followed by Indialantic, FL, Los Gatos, CA, Charlotte, NC, and back to Indialantic, FL. I built energy control centers for
electric utilities world-wide, with positions including VP Programs and Engineering with Harris Corp and Division General
Manager with Landis and Gyr.
I retired ten years ago, deciding to keep traveling internationally but to go from working in an office to volunteering outdoors.
I do trail maintenance and construction for Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge, biology studies for Pelican Island NWR and
loggerhead sea turtle scouting for Archie Carr NWR, which is the largest loggerhead nesting site in the world. This year Archie
Carr has had over 25,000 sea turtle nests in a 20 mile stretch of Atlantic beach! I also walk with friends four days a week and
am president of our community HOA, an active Florida Master Gardener, and board member of the Friends of Archie Carr. We love
boating (especially kayaking), gardening and traveling (from the tombs for Luxor to the lagoons of Bora Bora).
Hope our paths will cross again even though I will miss this reunion.
